<< Scored 💯 in GAMSAT S3 twice >> with overall scores of 86 and 87 // current Unimelb med student Still accepting a small number of S3 students for Sept 2024 / Mar 2025 (as of mid Aug 2024) About me: - Current Melb med student, twice successfully gained entry via GEMSAS - I have sat the GAMSAT twice (2016, 2023). I scored 87 and 86 overall, including 100 in S3 both times. - My undergrad degree was a Bachelor of Biomedicine majoring in Immunology - You will see that I don't know everything, and it's okay not to know everything super well going into this exam. In terms of teaching experience: - I am happy to help you with any relevant subject up to a GAMSAT standard, i.e. maths/bio/chem/physics etc or even section 1+2 if you'd like. (My section 1 scores were 78 and 76.) - I have a lot of experience with biology in particular; I have been a tutor/lecturer for the Australian Science Olympiads Biology program since 2016. - I have never worked for any of the med entry tuition companies nor did I seek tutoring when I was preparing for the GAMSAT. So I will provide you a unique perspective on the test based on my own experiences. - I am not really a 'science curriculum' tutor (although I can help you brush up on important concepts as much as required) as I believe content-heavy approaches to the GAMSAT are misguided. My aim is to help you approach S3 questions with confidence regardless of your academic background. Regarding the lessons: - I can tutor you over Zoom, or in person at Unimelb (Parkville or Southbank campus). - Currently I charge $90 per 1 hour session for regular individual tuition. Contact me if you would like a discounted group rate. - We can do casual lessons (ie a limited, small number of sessions) or regular (weekly/fortnightly) help. Prior to or during our first session it would be nice to get to know more about you (e.g. what your academic background is, what you'd like from a S3 tutor, whether you've sat the GAMSAT already / what you're working on, that sort of thing). We can set aside part of the first session to discuss all of the above and see if we're a good fit. Looking forward to hearing from you if you're interested. All the best.
