A very good unit to take that builds on foundational knowledge. Final exam is entirely multiple choice. Jess is fantastic at explaining new concepts and Matteo drilled HWE and test crosses into us before the exam, so I understood it really well. I found Rachel's lectures very jam-packed compared to other lecturers, so your rhythm gets thrown off trying to keep up with your lectures. I found the first assessment good, but it did not make sense that we had to present to the class to practice confident presentation but then that part wasn't even part of the marking criteria? The second assessment was perfect and the corresponding workshops were super fun. Plenty of resources available for the final exam. They created small revision quizzes and extensive folders with revision content.

Stay on top of the content. Concepts aren't hard to grasp. You'll be fine if you are willing to put in the work. Rachel, Jaco and Jess are amazing!!!

I didn't love this unit. It was lacking in lab work and while I understand the unit's necessity in health/ science related courses, it just wasn't what I was expecting. Once it moved off campus, I felt even less obliged to participate because there was no content in the practicals that wasn't covered in the lectures (other than pracs 1&2). In saying that, they provide you with a lot of study resources on iLearn and both Jaco and Rachael are good teachers. Assessments were good and fairly marked. But be warned: the test (10%) was way harder than the practice test they give you.
