I enjoyed this unit much more than I expected. Fyi I have quite a good background in maths so if it's not your strength, you will need to work really hard to do well in this unit. but you have to be serious and study to pass

This is a great people unit and focused a lot on hypothetical situations/practical skills. I found it quite easy as it overlapped with ACST101 Finance 1A. I think it would be a great stepping stone to do before ACST101.

This unit is super easy, just takes notes on the PowerPoint slides and read the book. Try get as high marks as a possible in the forums and quizzes so you don’t have to get as high in the final exam. Anyone who has already done some finance units should get a HD as long as they put a bit of effort into it. I took this unit in session 3 2018, personally I found it boring as I didn’t learn anything but people who haven’t done finance should definitely take it to learn about personal finance.

This subject is easy to ‘pass’, however if you want a high mark and finance is not your strong suit, don’t be complacent. The quizzes are definitely easy. The forums are ‘easyish’, however I found it hard to be ‘original’, which it is marked on. I felt as if students who were able to post when they first opened had an advantage, and I felt the forums were marked pretty harsh (not one single person got 100%, at least in the first 2 forums). A lot of the exam questions were worded weirdly and the time limit was stressful - the example “perfect mark” answers provided were pretty long for the amount of questions in a 2 hour exam? As people from past semesters have been recommending it as easy, I don’t know if the unit has subsequently become harder… or maybe I just really suck at finance. The actual content is good for everyone to know, but admittedly boring.

Great unit! I really enjoyed it. It is a little bit more laid back but I found it really useful because it's actually useful for real life.

Little work to do. It's an easy pass if you read all chapters and watch all lectures. The maths is something you will have to practice if it's not your thing.
