Reviews

This unit could be a very interesting unit. However it is very disorganised and unclear. Assignment have no direction, no guideline, nothing is clear, it doesn't make sense. Unit coordinator never replied to your email, I had issue with my group but she could not care less as she has never replied to me. Questions asked on Blackboard in discussion board remain unanswered for days. I have an assignment due in 2 days, and have asked a question about it on Blackboard 3 days ago but still have not heard anything and this is a recurrent issue. How hard is it to keep an eye on question when you know that there is an assignment due very soon? When questions are answered, the answers are quite bad and don't really answer your question. Overall laziness is the keyword.

not an enjoyable unit

Unit is absolutely vital to be able to be a culturally competent clinician in Australia. Be prepared to challenge your own world view. Its important to approach this unit with an extremely open mind and honesty about your core beliefs.

This unit proves to be important, especially if you are heading into a career as a health professional. I have had a very positive experience in this unit regarding the tutors and the actual assignments. The tutorials are interactive but I also think that depends on the type of tutor you have. There is no exam in this unit. However, I think it compensates for the fact that most of the content is online.

The unit is really important for health professionals but there is a lot of content and work to do at home if you are doing the unit online. I didnt learn as much from this unit as i could have because i simply didnt have time to do the readings. Still a worthwhile unit for anyone planning on a career in health.

It has the potential to be something really important for future health professionals, however there is a lot of time wasting and the group assessment didn't make sense as some groups got 2 weeks and others 10. This is really unfair.

Tutors were below average and I got more out of spending the time studying the content than going to classes but it was very interesting.

This is a spicy unit, it is probably one of the easiest but it is a necessary component in any university student's life. there is wayyyyyy too much online content but the classes are interactive and enjoyable and the tutors are really passionate and lovely.
