Reviews

This unit is tough love in a nutshell. It's abstract; you have to try to code what you can't see, test it, and know why it doesn't work. The workload is heavy, with weekly practicals that require you to write working code in either Python or Java from provided pseudocode. Must present your practicals to tutors in person to get them marked. The final assessment was very interesting; it was based on finding the shortest path between hospital departments. It was great to have a real-life problem to solve while learning about the different data structures used to solve it. The final assignment requires a lot of troubleshooting and debugging, which takes a significant amount of time. Start the final assignment as soon as possible. Despite the heavy workload, the content of this unit is really useful and applicable to future computing units.
