My tutor was absolutely amazing (Gulay!), she made the unit easy and enjoyable (and I am not a maths/economic/finance based person and I finished on a good grade). She was helpful, understanding and very generous with her knowledge. The content was also well delivered - the weekly quizzes helped cement the knowledge in my mind and the group project was enjoyable!

If you did general maths, economics and/or business in HSC then you'll straight away have an advantage. Debbie is cool but a little too laid back. Had another teacher for a few lessons who was actually really good. Weekly quizzes are basically free marks and the group task isn't that hard.

Tutorial Teacher is great, but unit coordinator is awful at WSU. The unit coordinator is unprofessional and a bully.

Subject is fun as long as you do you homework which is quite easy, quizzes help as they are in the final exam and are relevant to the subject but can be annoying doing weekly. I like my lecture even though the videos did get a bit tedious. My tutorial were amazingly engaging and fun to learn the subject

If you read the textbook before class and summarise notes every week, it is not hard to achieve a credit or distinction rate. All the quizzes are based on the textbook and the exercise in the chapters will help you in the final exam. Technically, it's like learning Business Studies in high school.

I found this subject quite boring but is a good base to start if you know nothing about finance. If you did maths in high school or have any idea about finance then you will be fine. The subject is a bit broad and not very in depth.
