Brilliant and interesting unit. The content covered is super interesting and applicable to the real world. It is an extension of 'Crime and Society' (first-year criminology unit). I had Joe as my lecturer and tutor and he was passionate and engaging. The tutorials were interesting and built on the lecture content. Highly recommend this unit.

Absolutely loved this unit, had Joe as both lecturer and for tutes, by far best person to learn from. Very engaging unit and if you're behind Joe is more than accommodating to your needs and helping with any questions. Really gets you thinking about things in a real life context.

Loved it. Joe Clare is the best lecturer I have ever had. Not an easy unit, but really well managed and run. If you are a Law student HIGHLY recommend this as a unit choice. Changed my worldview and was super engaging and real life applicable.

it's a decent unit, quite interesting but the essay/policy document was lowkey hard.

I found this unit quite interesting. It has two quizzes and an essay throughout the semester and these are quite easy to do well in. Despite this, the exam left me with a lower grade than I would've thought. Overall, a relatively good unit.

Such a dry unit. There isn't one set lecturer so each lecture is completely different to the next. There are only 2 quizzes and an essay in the unit which are pretty straightforward, however the exam requires you to write 3 essays in 2 hours. Would not recommend unless its a compulsory unit.
