WAMSS Mental Health proudly presents "Voices & Choices: Approaches to Psychiatric Treatment".
Special guest Ron Coleman will share his own story of voice hearing and disappointing experiences with the mental health system that led to him to become a leading figure in the Hearing Voices Network and the recovery-based approach to mental health.
There will also be the chance to hear from and ask questions of Perth-based recovery support services and experts, including Dr Georgie Paulik-White, the Clinical Psychologist supervising therapy plans at the recently-opened Perth Voices Clinic.
We invite you to learn more about the recovery-based movement and question your own ideas about the 'right' way to approach mental health treatment.
This is sure to be a fascinating evening and is a must for any budding health professional or community member with an interest in this field.
Refreshments provided, all welcome.
