Are you a music lover? Are you tired of playing music off your iPod at parties? Sick of being a bedroom DJ? Ever wish you could be Diplo?

EMAS has your back.

DJing can be an incredibly fun and rewarding hobby. Not only can you acquire mad mixing skills and get to play bangers to massive crowds, but it is a great way to socialize, can get you free club entry and free drinks, and if you’re lucky enough take you touring around the world. To share the passion we have for music, DJing and performance, we present our annual FREE DJ lessons. The deets;

~ 3 (2 hour) sessions; including lectures, demonstrations and hand’s on time

~ In-depth course; Covering the basics of mixing through to advanced transitions, there is something for everyone

~ Equipment; All DJ equipment (including headphones) will be provided. You'll have the opportunity to learn and practice on professional industry standard gear used Perth nightclubs and around the world!

~ Handouts; Information packs with the course content to take with you after the lesson

~ Hands on, mentoring scheme; Each lesson will provide time mixing on a set of decks. Groups will be divided up with a mentor to help you through our course.

~ Skill level; all levels of skills are welcome, from absolute beginners through to regular DJs. ☆ If you’re a quick learner there’s opportunities to DJ and rep the EMAS logo at our events! ☆

~ Spaces are limited, make sure to fill out the registration form beforehand!

Oh, and did we say its 100% FREE? All you need to bring is yourself and your EMAS membership sticker! (Don’t worry if you’re not a member yet, signup will be available at every lesson)


The program kicks off with an open signup session this Tuesday March 15th at 1pm in the Austin Lecture Theatre (Near Reid Library, first floor)
