Location:
Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery

Organised by:
Blackstone Law Students Society

Blackstone has asked 12 lawyers from a top-tier commercial law firm to come down and answer the questions that every law student needs answers to, such as:
1. What is your job like?
2. How did you get there?
3. What should I be doing now to get ahead?
4. What is the best approach to take in clerkship applications?

The event will be the perfect setting to ask these questions in an informal and personal setting.

Bring your cover letters and CVs if you want some feedback before clerkships open!

Tickets are essential! Please see the above link.

DETAILS:
From 6-7pm, you will rotate between tables in groups of 3-4 students, with each table seating a lawyer or HR representative from the leading law firm, Corrs Chambers Westgarth. You will have the unique opportunity for roughly 10 minutes per table to ask any questions you may have about their career paths and finding out what you should be doing to position yourself better for a career in law or a clerkship. We will set a suggested topic per table based on the lawyer's specialties, but this is just a suggestion!

For the remainder of the event, you will have the opportunity to enjoy free drinks and canapés with the Corrs lawyers. This will be informal and is a great way for you to continue your conversations from the earlier part of the evening.

Tickets are $15 for all students withh FREE drinks and canapés provided. Places are strictly limited so get in soon!

Note: Corrs Chambers Westgarth is a leading commercial law firm with offices across Australia and partnerships throughout Asia Pacific.
