It is so common that professionals in any career are susceptible to burnout. Despite being so common, many managers aren’t aware of why burnout happens or how to keep it from happening. Being able to understand burnout, its causes, and how to prevent it is essential in order to maintain a positive environment and keep the best talent on the team. Join this session to find out how leaders deal with pressure and participate in a “speed networking” session where you will have the opportunity to meet your future mentor!

Why the Circle of Wisdom? Mentors are high achieving individuals who have skills and experiences they wish to share with wise minds. In Australia, the expertise of past generations of entrepreneurs is a largely untapped resource in both education and business. The Circle of Wisdom aims to bridge such gaps in experience by providing counsel in an educational setting, with industry professionals having personalised opportunities to discuss key elements of business such as decision-making, entrepreneurial models and managerial skills.
This initiative is presented by UTS and The Trans-Tasman Business Circle. UTS and The Trans-Tasman Business Circle share the vision of the benefits of intergenerational learning. Together we have developed an initiative called the “Circle of Wisdom” that offers Executive MBA students and MBA Entrepreneurship students, “our leaders of the future”, access to the knowledge and experience of business leaders.
The Circle of Wisdom will therefore comprise mentors with an industry background, providing applied learning of industry-based and academically-informed knowledge.
