CALLOUT FOR SUBMISSIONS, DRYLIGHT 2016!!!

First published in 1935, Drylight is EDSOC’s annual publication showcasing work from both staff and students within the Faculty of Education and Social Work here at USyd. We collect and publish student works, academic research, creative pieces and reviews of the many initiatives and events of the Faculty and the Society throughout the year.

We are looking for articles, creative pieces, essays and reviews from students and staff within the Faculty to include in our 2016 publication!

Categories for this year include:
- Current issues or debates in education or social work
- Educational theory
- Faculty merger
- Gender and sexuality
- Indigenous issues
- Overseas experiences
- Professional experiences
- Reviews of events and initiatives of EDSOC and the Faculty
- Rural experiences
- Social work
- Sport and physical education
- Youth culture

If you have written something that falls under any of these categories (or plan to write something over the break), we strongly encourage you to submit your work to be published in Drylight 2016. This is essentially your chance to write alongside academics and become a published author in one of the university’s oldest and most prestigious student publications! How cool is that?!

Please email all submissions to Genevieve at publications@edsoc.org.au by 11:59pm on 21 August 2016.

Submissions are open to all students and staff within the Faculty of Education and Social Work.
