Pitch Me Perfect: Personal Branding 101

Warren Buffett said "It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it. If you think about that, you'll do things differently."

It’s been said that if you are not branding yourself, you can be sure that others will do it for you – AIM believes that your personal brand is one of the key ingredients for developing a successful career. In today’s global and ever connected world, your personal brand is what not only sets you apart from others, it is your own selling point – your elevator or BBQ ‘pitch’. Online, professional and personal identities have never intersected as much as they do today, and managing your personal brand in a professional context has never been as challenging.

Join us at AIM’s Pitch Me Perfect Series, where a diverse panel of experienced business professionals and experts will share with you their secrets to developing and maintaining an effective personal brand.

The session will cover:
1. The importance and relevance of your personal brand, both professionally and in your personal life
2. Developing your professional reputation and communicating it consistently
3. The benefits of networking and mentoring in developing your brand

Key speakers:

1. Zahrina Robertson – Photographer and Author

Award winning visual branding strategist for entrepreneurs, speaker, photographer, film maker and author of Magnetic Branding!

2. Don Gough FAIM – Managing Director – Black Isle Communications

Through a distinctive, radical approach to the spoken word and individual style, Don gives business managers practical skills and tools that enable them to present in a natural, conversational style. Don trains, coaches and consults to business leaders in many of Australia’s major companies, professional firms and government agencies and is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.

3. Lindsay Rogers – Co-Founder and Director of Strategy – Chello

Lindsay co-founded Chello a creative content agency at the age of 25 in 2014. In their first year the business turned over $1million, reached over 45 clients and signed their first international client United Airlines. In 2015, Lindsay won Telstra’s Young Business Woman of the Year and was accepted to attend the Executive Bootcamp in Design Thinking at Stanford University.
