Dir. Jennie Livingstone - 1990 - USA

Right after we wrap up the AGM (~5:30pm) we'll start up this week's screening of Paris is Burning. Paris is Burning is a monumental 1990 documentary tracing the poor, African American and Latino gay and transgendered community involved in the drag ball culture of New York City. It's a witty and moving doco, directed with profound empathy by Jennie Livingstone.
