This time, we will be having a discussion with Sydney Law School alumna, Yuen-Yee Cho, who is a partner in Banking & Finance at King & Wood Mallesons. Yuen-Yee will recount her personal journey as a wide-eyed 15-year old migrant to Australia from Malaysia, to Sydney Law School, to a long-standing career as one of the country’s top dealmakers.
About the Speaker: Yuen-Yee Cho is a partner and the Global Banking & Finance Coordinator at King & Wood Mallesons. Named best Banking Lawyer in Sydney by peer review, Best Lawyers in 2014 and Dealmaker of the Year by Lawyers Weekly’s Women in Law awards 2015, Yuen-Yee is recognised by peers and clients as one of the top Banking lawyers and dealmakers in Australia.
Yuen-Yee specialises in acquisition/leverage finance, corporate finance and project and infrastructure finance. She holds a B.Ec/LLB (Hons) from The University of Sydney, 1991 and a BCL (Hons I) from Oxford, 1994. She is a sought-after speaker at industry forums on Banking & Finance, Private Equity and Women/ Diversity in Law/Professional Services. Yuen-Yee is married with 2 young children.
