Sexual Violence and Women's Rights in the Cyber World
22 September, 2016
Sydney University Law Society (SULS)
Come join us from 1pm - 2pm, Thursday 22nd September for a Q&A panel on the topic of Sexual Harassment and Women’s Rights Online, presented by the SULS Women’s Subcommittee and the Wom*n’s Collective.
The event is designed to explore women’s individual experiences of online sexual harassment, their responses, and the avenues of recourse available to women under the law. We will be tackling issues such as revenge porn, cyber-stalking, and the murky legal protection for women online.
The panelists include women from a diverse range of career paths within the law, experts in their field, academics and activists.
Following the discussion you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and suggest issues for discussion by the panel.
This event is open to all students of any gender or faculty so feel free to bring your friends. So, please join us for robust discussion, show your support for gender equality and enjoy some free food!
