RC Mills Lecture Room 209

Organised by:
Film Society

Dir. Souleymane Cissé, Mali, 1987

We're capping off the semester with a few underseen visual treats. Souleymane Cissé's Yeelen is a completely unique Malian film set in the 13th Century. A hit at Cannes in 1987, Yeelen follows a young Bambara native, Niankoro, who leaves his mother’s house on a quest for spiritual enlightenment.

Find us on Tuesday in RC Mills Lecture Room 209. We'll have pizza from 5pm and the screening will start at about 5:15pm. We'll be heading to the Forest Lodge Hotel afterwards for post-film drinks and discussion.

This event is free for members, $5 for Access cardholders. Annual membership is $5 for Access cardholders.
