The University of Sydney Media and Communications Society (MecoSoc) and the University of Sydney Union (USU) are excited to present our first major panel event this year, featuring Buzzfeed, Pedestrian.tv, Junkee, New Matilda, Mamamia, SBS 2's The Feed and Collective Hub.

This panel will be held on Tuesday October 13th in the Eastern Avenue Lecture Theatre, University of Sydney Camperdown campus at 6:00pm. The panel will focus on the topic of “alternative media in Australia” and is highly recommended for MecoSoc members, USU members, students and academics with a keen interest in contemporary journalism and media.

MecoSoc is proud to announce our full panel of special guests for the evening:

- Chris Graham, Owner/Editor at New Matilda

- Lisa Messenger, Editor-in-Chief of Collective Hub

The panel will include a short audience Q&A, followed by refreshments and an opportunity to meet the panellists.
