RC Mills Lecture Room 209

Organised by:
Film Society

Dir. The Wachowskis, USA, 2008

The Wachowskis first directorial effort after The Matrix Trilogy was the weird and wonderful Speed Racer. An adaptation of a much-loved Japanese manga and anime, the movie was a critical and commercial bomb, but, eight years later, is now a budding cult film, layered with political allegory and creativity. A multi-coloured, multi-dimensional gem, Speed Racer changed the FX game. So put aside your initial skepticism and give it a go.

Find us on Tuesday in RC Mills Lecture Room 209. We'll have pizza from 5pm and the screening will start at about 5:15pm. We'll be heading to the Forest Lodge Hotel afterwards for post-film drinks and discussion.

This event is free for members, $5 for Access cardholders. Annual membership is $5 for Access cardholders.
