Southern Cross Outdoor Education Centre

Organised by:
Law Society

Semester 1 of your new life at Sydney Law School has now begun. No sooner are you starting Foundies than we are whisking you off to the annual rite of passage amongst Sydney Law students, The First Year LLB Law Camp!

Not being hyperbolic at all, but Law Camp will be the greatest weekend of your life!* You’ll get to bond with others in your cohort and make the friends with whom you’ll look back on Law Camp at graduation in 5/6 years time. The Camp will be filled with unforgettable memories and will pave the way for relationships that will last your entire University and professional career. There will be themed parties, trivia, scavenger hunts and activities galore (yes, this includes drinking games!).

We also hope that you will get to know the SULS executive and come to know a bit more about who we are and what the society does.

Tickets will be on sale on Monday 7th March at the SULS Office (Room 103 New Law Building) from 10:30am (half an hour after your Foundies lecture!). Along with your student ID, ACCESS card (if you have one), medicare number and money, please bring with you:

- Completed Medical Information Form (completed by a parent or guardian for those under 18): https://docs.google.com/document/d/1AQ4RItoCyW54kL8IgMeBKPwVOc2gTYtMaxdT-vubaao/edit

If you are under 18:

- Parental Consent form https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HcTExZGx4TzRsMwTHRGqjj9L8JSM2_dVIv7Ye0fimK4/edit

- the Alcohol Consent Form completed by a parent or guardian.

The tickets are $190 for access card holders, and $195 for non-access. This covers everything: food, alcohol, drinks, accommodation and transport to and from the venue from Uni. The Camp goes from 12pm Friday 18th March until 1pm Sunday 20th March.

Students who would like to attend but are unable to purchase a ticket due to financial hardship are strongly urged to apply for the Equity Payments Plan. Please email Dana Tittemore at equity@suls.org.au if you have any questions. All correspondence is confidential.

Yes, we will be serving alcohol at the Camp. Students who are under the age of 18 will only be allowed to attend the Camp with signed permission from a parent or guardian (we will be providing you with a permission form when you buy your ticket). Please ensure that if you are thinking about coming to the Camp your parents are okay with it first.
