Submissions are now open for abstracts for Dissent, SULS’ annual social justice journal.

This theme for the 2016 edition is RECOVERY.

Roads to recovery lead both to justice and from injustice. Recovery represents both a journey and a destination in itself. Recovery promises redemption, but can also be deeply problematic. The journal invites this year’s submissions to think of recovery in all its dimensions, hopes and dilemmas.

Abstracts should be no longer than 300 words and should outline the topic of the submission, the major points to be covered, and the connection with this year’s theme. The journal encourages academic submissions, but will also consider high quality personal, reflective and creative submissions.

Please submit abstracts to dissent@suls.org.au with the subject line "Dissent: Abstract Submission" by 11:59pm, Wednesday 4 May.
