Sydney College of the Arts is alive and well and remains the best art school in Australia!
This is something worth celebrating and we are all getting together to show off and share everything great about SCA. We welcome all aspiring artists to come along and for all students and staff to join us with their friends and family.
SCA has a fantastic program of Artist Talks that run every Wednesday at 1 pm and are open to the public. On Still Open Day the guest speaker is Archibald winning SCA alumnus, Ben Quilty.
From 2-4 pm our workshops and studios will be doing their business as usual plus special demonstrations including.
1 - 6 pm Mitsuo's famous noodle lunch // Raku firing demonstration with Canbora Bayraktar // bowl sale
2 - 4 pm Bookmaking techniques with master print technician Janet Parker
Exhibition of drawing program works
5 - 7 pm Themed Life Drawing
4 - 8 pm Screenings in the Auditorium
5 - 8 pm Performances in the glass courtyard
Rare and artist books collection
All day until 8 pm
Exhibiting in the Main Foyer
Hot glass demonstrations
Safari Lee's show
"An Unhealthy Dose of Low Self-esteem"
responding to the history of the Kirkbride campus.
From 4 pm - 8 pm things will get fun.
