Reviews

I enjoyed this course so much as I really enjoy the analysis of data! Both my lecturer and tutor made the subject a lot of fun, while also being very informative and knowledgable about the content.

I thoroughly enjoyed this course. The lecturer was engaging and actually made statistics fun, the progression was logical and my tutor was very knowledgeable and happy to assist. Going into a student research project I've found this content particularly relevant.

This course is a relatively easy one if you can grasp maths and statistic concepts. You are given a great deal of resources and have an open book exam, but make sure that you make friends early on so you can have a good group for the assignment as it's worth a big chunk of your grades.

If you aren't bad at maths, you can get some easy marks (especially with the open book exam). The concepts are easy enough to comprehend and if not, you can always get a tutor to help you understand.

Make sure you select your group well as the group assignment mark is worth a chunk of your grade and can really determine what grade you get overall regardless of if you do well in all the other assessment pieces. The subject can get a bit dry at times but it is necessary foundation knowledge if you are going to do any science/mathematical 2nd and 3rd year courses.
