We’re back in Heath Room and it’s time for the ultimate fusion of jazz and hip hop in this week’s Street Jazz class with Pris!! It’s all about the music when it comes to jazz funk, commercial jazz and street jazz so let’s get ready to bring the energy and shake your thang! Pris will be teaching us some fresh choreography, so for dancers of all levels, this is your chance to jump straight into street jazz and learn about this hip hop inspired form of jazz dance. You may remember Pris from her voguing/waacking/punking class last semester or her performances with the Street Groove Performance Crew. We look forward to seeing you all there!

Check out some of her previous classes!

Make sure to bring along your UQ Street Groove membership card to show to our executive members at the door and don’t forget water or a towel to beat the heat!

======| WHO IS PRIS |======
Pris is an experienced member of the Street Groove community and was the previous Crew Manager and choreographer in 2015. Her dance journey started with jazz, ballet, tap and acrobatics. In 2012 she dived into the hip hop genre and in 2014 she began waacking. Her preferred street dance styles are house and waacking, though recently she has started experimenting with voguing and punking. Pris also trained briefly in the New York Broadway Dance Centre (BDC) and the mL dance studio in LA.

======| FREESTYLE JAMS |======
One whole class just isn’t enough?? Well stick around afterwards and join us for freestyle jams until 9pm. It’s open for everyone to attend, Street Groove member or not, so come along, chill out and have a good time. Learn new dance techniques from one another and practice at your own pace to some funky beats. The jams so far have been off the charts!
