If you’ve ever wanted to learn to pop and isolate like never before, then this is finally your chance!! This Friday we kick things off with an introductory popping basics class run by the talented Victor. We welcome Victor as a new teacher in 2016 so prepare to be blown away by his mesmerising skills! :) No one masters popping on the first try, but these basics will give you knowledge to go off and practice, practice, practice! :D He’ll be covering foundations including the wave, walk out, rolling and flex. Victor will then be back next week for a more advanced follow-up class. This is a fantastic opportunity for both beginners and experienced dancers to learn popping from one of the best. We look forward to seeing you all there!!

Make sure to bring along your UQ Street Groove membership card to show to our executive members at the door and don’t forget water or a towel to beat the heat!

======| WHO IS VICTOR |======
Victor comes from China and has been passionately dedicated to popping for more than six years. He incorporates elements from Boogaloo, Puppet, Crazy Leg and Animation into his style. In his hometown he owned a popping studio called Five Block where he enjoyed sharing his knowledge with students. Victor describes how popping gives him a lot of fun, passion and a positive attitude on life and that he is excited to share his skills and passion with Street Groove. Victor believes in an ancient Chinese proverb: “Teaching people to fish is far more important than giving people fish.”

======| FREESTYLE JAMS |======
One whole class just isn’t enough?? Well stick around afterwards and join us for another hour of freestyle jams. It’s open for everyone to attend, Street Groove member or not, so come along, chill out and have a good time. Learn new dance techniques from one another and practice at your own pace to some funky beats. The jams so far have been off the charts!
