Expect to unleash your inner sass and bring the attitude as you take on some exciting choreography and learn to move in ways you never thought possible! Don’t be shy or embarrassed just because it’s ‘girly’, this is a fantastic opportunity for both beginners and experienced dancers to learn from one of Street Groove’s rising stars. Sassa is part of Street Groove’s talented performance crew and this will be her first time running a SG class, so let’s bring that wicked week 3 energy! We look forward to seeing you all there!!

Make sure to bring along your UQ Street Groove membership card to show to our executive members at the door and don’t forget water or a towel to beat the heat!

======| WHO IS SASSA |======
After starting out her dance journey as a shy 6-year-old performing at yearly concerts in ballet class, Sassa soon broke out of her shell and became inspired to learn more styles of dance including jazz and contemporary. From there, she formed an everlasting passion for dance and strived to continuously improve herself by training with teachers and peers. This led to her placing 1st and 2nd in eisteddfods where she choreographed her own performance pieces. After taking a brief hiatus from dancing to focus on finishing high school, Sassa moved from her hometown to Brisbane last year, finding a new home in hip hop at Mad Dance House at age 19. This allowed her to engage with the local dance scene and explore urban, girly and old school hip hop genres of dance. Now, more than ever, she yearns to dance as much as she can and to share her endless passion.

======| FREESTYLE JAMS |======
One whole class just isn’t enough?? Well stick around afterwards and join us for another hour and a half of freestyle jams. It’s open for everyone to attend, Street Groove member or not, so come along, chill out and have a good time. Learn new dance techniques from one another and practice at your own pace to some funky beats. The jams so far have been off the charts!
