Schonell Cinema and Live Theatre

Organised by:
Underground Productions

Coming to UQ’s Schonell Theatre this August and September KFJ The Musical tells the story of online musical church Helsphere Ministries, its leader, Reverend Craig Helsphere and his wacky family.

Their mission? To divinely cure some serious vices (from obesity to heroin) in a set of less-than-willing participants, all using the eternal powers of music, and maybe a little old-school coercion. Think Book of Mormon, crossed with Rent with a Jason Robert Brown infused score.

This world premiere (written by two Griffith Conservatorium Alumni) includes some of the best up and coming performers in the young Brisbane theatre scene and promises to gives many laughs, along with a few eyebrow raises.
