Reviews

My lecturer is Sanja. She inspires me a lot about her teaching style and she does try her very best to make everything seems more easy than it's should be.

Easier than I anticipated

This subject has been structured quite well, introducing the basic concepts of accounting at the start and progressively adding more complex material throughout the session. Ask for help as soon as you have covered something you don't understand, as clearing up the material early will reduce frustration later. Understanding this subject clearly will set you up quite well for ACCY112, which adds more and more detail, particularly for the financial statements.

A well structured subject, making it easier to follow and understand. Overall an enjoyable subject.

The ACCY111 lecturer, Sam, is the perfect man to present this introductory subject on accounting. Not only does he slowly and methodically back up each week with practical in-lecture application exercises, but he's sensitive to the ideas that are tougher for novices to comprehend. The use of a practical workbook introduced at the start of the subject is entirely necessary, and well implemented. Students wishing to do well in accounting should pay strong attention to the financial accounting fundamentals introduced here, as they will serve you well in proceeding accounting courses such as the follow-up subject, ACCY112.

ACCY111 was a well-structured and easy-to-understand subject. The content was well spread out over the semester to avoid over-cramming of information, and it was an overall enjoyable subject.
