Hello Chemsoc members,
Are you ready to walk again? We are planning our second hike for Saturday the 14th of May at the Heathcote National Park for an 11 km hike (5h + lunch / breaks / swim) from Heathcote to Waterfall.

This walk explores the heart of Heathcote National Park, and is easily accessed with a train station at either end. Although relatively close to the start of the walk, Mirang Pool offers an opportunity to cool down. Kingfisher Pool, next to Heathcote Creek, at the southern end, is also a great spot to break and enjoy the park before the last walk up the hill.

More details about the hike can be found here:

For those wanting to go by train, there is a 9:49 am train at North Wollongong Station (changing at Waterfall and arriving in Heathcote at 10:43 am).

You will need to bring water, lunch and snacks and good shoes (sunscreen and a hat if it's sunny).
