WITH EYEWITNESS FROM THE DETENTION CENTRE ON NAURU!

For years now Australian governments have treated asylum seekers with utter callousness. Their boats have been attacked and turned back, their basic humanity denied, their bodies and minds tortured. This has been true of both Labor and Liberal governments.

Mark Isaacs, who was a social worker at the detention centre on Nauru and is the author of "The Undesirables: Inside Nauru," and his brand new offering, "Nauru Burning", saw this horror first hand and will be speaking about the cruel treatment our government dishes out to refugees in our name.

This forum will attempt to explain the reasons behind this bipartisan policy of cruelty, and offer a strategy to challenge the profound racism embedded in the government, the media, and every other institution of Australian capitalism.
