Join ENGSOC for a series of talks on 'Designing in the Real World' - smaller scope case-studies about real life engineering projects, presented by engineers working in industries throughout Australia.

•••Urbanest Darling Square•••

Being built in the centre of Sydney in one of the newest and most creative quarters, Urbanest Darling Square is a 22-storey accommodation student accommodation designed by the architect Allen Jack + Cottier and engineers from Northrop.

Have you ever wondered:
• What does a structural engineer actually do?
• What are the key challenges in designing a 20 storey tower in Sydney’s CBD?
• How do you design and document something that can be built easily?

Also if you would like to hear from a builder’s perspective on what parts of the design worked and did not work and know what went wrong and what a company would do differently next time, then this seminar is for you.

Come along on Tuesday 20th September form 5pm to 6pm and find out more about one of the most modern student accommodation in Sydney. Our guest speakers will be Isabel Duffy form Northrop and Nghiem Nguyen form Buildcorp.

Register via the google form.
