[THERE WILL BE PIZZA AT THIS EVENT, SEE HOW IT FITS IN BELOW]

What if you could do one or two things now that would give you a massive boost in the job market at the end of your degree, or even during?

What if we gave you pizza while we told you what those things are?

Here at the Law Society, we know how great is it to be a first year. No pressures, no hangovers and plenty of time to figure out how you'll turn that Credit in ILJ into a High Distinction by the Torts exam. We know how far away thinking about your career feels and sounds. There's no panic.

Well, stop not-panicking because the legal job market is dire. You need to start making some decisions to help your prospects now!

Or is it? And do you really?

More to the point, 'what the hell kind of jobs are out there?' we hear you say. What does my degree actually get me?

The real answer is complex, so to help you process the information, we have pizza (and a snazzy, down-with-the-youth presenter) to tide you over while we run you through:

1. What the deal is with jobs - what can you do when you finish, or even before you finish?
2. Are there many jobs out there, do I need to panic and how much will i get paid anyway?

And, most importantly:

3. What can I do now to save myself some pain?
