•••Cloud Computing for profit and fun•••
Having data services that scale with many users is something that tech companies are dealing with every day. But what happens when your average user needs to use thousands of cores for their day-to-day jobs? What happens when you have hundreds of those users sitting in one building?

The mantra at Optiver is to innovate fast. To that end we’ve used Amazon Web Services in two quite distinct ways –
1. Speed up large scale data experiments. Think hundreds of gigabytes of financial data passed through optimisation algorithms with thousands of iteration cycles

2. Automating builds and code analysis. Over a hundred developers constantly pushing code and demanding regression results instantly.

Come along to hear about how we’ve set up our infrastructure to optimise our elastic web usage and how we’ve reduced the amount of time in our innovation loop from weeks to hours and minutes.
