Melbourne, VIC

Organised by:
Australasian Union of Jewish Students Sydney

AUJS invites you to ContemPLATE Judaism and share Jewish food from around the world with Jews and non-Jews at our Shabbat table.

Jewish tradition is based around food; what we eat shows who we are as a culture. For Jews, Friday night is the beginning of Shabbat. Shabbat Dinner is a time for family and friends to come together, eat traditional and modern foods, and discuss the week and our accomplishments.

Trust us, we don't mean any offence! We're taking back the word Goy: We want you to invite that friend that you copy off at uni who's always wondering why you can't go out on Shabbat, or your next door neighbour who has always been curious of the smell of chicken soup emanating from your house every week. Invite your mates to the event, chuck them a ticket link... And bring them along to experience what Shabbat is all about!
