Are you creative, work great in teams and interested in becoming a student mentor?

The UNSW Women in Engineering Society will be holding a series of mini projects during the 'Experience It!' Engineering Day organised by the UNSW Faculty of Engineering and Engineers Australia for female high school students in Years 9-12, to be held on 1st October 2015.

Last year we hosted a similar event and are looking for WORKSHOP MENTORS who will are interested in taking on the challenge of designing, testing and teaching the projects to the high school students this year.

Both male and female students, and of all years and disciplines are welcome to participate.

For this role, we will be holding several meetings that will require your attendance.
These will be (at minimum):
>> Introductory Meet and Greet of fellow Mentors, pairing up of mentors and preliminary discussion of designs based off last years projects
>> Development of projects and testing
>> Attendance of the event on Thursday 1st of October

Applications close SUNDAY 23 AUGUST at 10:00PM.

As a mentor for the day, you will be representing the society and the university to an external audience, and so we will need to conduct a quick interview just to get to know you a little better and to see how well you can fit in this environment.

The interviews will only be 10-15min long where we will simply ask you about past teamwork and/or leadership experiences and just expand on the application questions. The interviews will be held on Wednesday 26th August between 9am - 12pm.

If you are unable to attend the interview then please complete the form and email wieunsw@gmail.com to organise an alternate time/day.

For any enquiries please email wieunsw@gmail.com.

Good luck!
