UNSW (The University of New South Wales)

Organised by:
Save The Children

Keen to get involved in a society which makes a real difference? Then look no further because Save the Children UNSW has the perfect opportunity for you!

Save the Children UNSW is a student run society which looks to raise funds for disadvantaged children all over the world. This semester, our focus will be on raising awareness and funds regarding Child Protection.

Why volunteer?

Our volunteers make a real difference, with our society having raised over $3600 last year which supported a number of causes including the Cyclone Pam appeal, the Nepal earthquake appeal, the sponsoring of a child and many more. Through being involved in our O-Week stall, you too can be part of an invaluable opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children around the world by spreading much needed awareness.

This year, we have partnered with Save the Children Australia to recognise outstanding volunteers who donate 20 hours of their time throughout the year. These people will be formally recognised with a Letter of Appreciation!

For those of you keen to get further involved in STC UNSW, volunteers are looked favourably upon during the recruitment process for our subcommittee.

Your role as an O-week volunteer:
- Actively promote STC UNSW’s values and upcoming events
- Raise awareness of the growing concern surrounding Child Protection and how people can make a difference
- Have fun and make new friends along the way!
