** ISRAEL IS 68 YEARS OLD! **

Join AUJS NSW in celebrating the creation of the Jewish state and Israel's continuing existence as a proud, independent state with a special screening of ZERO MOTIVATION, the Tribeca Film Festival Award winning Israeli feature.

Zero Motivation provides a light-hearted, humorous take on the less exciting aspects of army service, giving us a glimpse into Israeli army culture and the unique frankness that characterises Israeli society.

The screening will begin with a brief introduction by academic Dr. Shahar Burla, who will explain the context and meaning of the film from the Israeli perspective. Shahar runs courses in Sydney that critically observe contemporary Israeli films and literature to explore the history, culture and politics of Israel and the Middle East.
