WHAT IS EASTERS:
The Australian Intervarsity Debating Championships (Easters) will be held in Wollongong from the afternoon of 17 April to the morning of 21 April. UNSW has been allocated 9 teams and 8 adjudicators so far.

Easters is a great opportunity for new debaters, with two novice debaters and one "pro" debater in every team. It's Australia's largest novice debating tournament! We highly recommend anyone interested in debating at university trial for Easters. It is a great opportunity to get to know what university debating is all about, make new friends, and travel in your mid-semester break.

The tournament registration costs $370 for both adjudicators and debaters, excluding travel costs to and from Wollongong. After the tournament, the university, through the Arc SCDG will often provide a small subsidy to participants which may cover some of the cost.

TRIAL DETAILS:
Trials will be held on Saturday 25 March from 9:30am-6:30pm. The debating contingent will be announced on Saturday night and callbacks will be held for all members of the contingent on Sunday 26 March.

If you are trialling as a novice debater, novice adjudicator or pro debater you will be required to do one trial debate during these times. All pros who want to trial as adjudicators will be required to submit their debating CVs through the registration form.

Registration will close on Monday 20 March 11:59pm. You will be emailed on Tuesday 21 March with information about the time and location of your trial debate.
