Interested in working in the public sector?

Whether you are a first year student struggling to apply for volunteering applications or you are a final year student stressed from job/internship applications, this event is for you!

The process of making a job application to the public sector can require a different set of skills. In particular, job applications focus on a particular selection criteria and a candidate is marked according to how well they meet these criteria. Therefore, it is important that students are aware of the nuances of applications to the public sector.

This event would be presented by one speaker from UNSW Careers and Employment and students with experience in the public sector.
The event would cover:
• How the recruitment process in the public sector works
• How to analyse the selection criteria when preparing for a job application
• Preparing responses to the selection criteria, utilising specific techniques.
