Nice subject! half theory and half algorithm. Both are really fun and useful for discrete math and computer science majors! The assignments and exam were fair and had fun parts! Many recommend:))

This subject, along with Discrete Mathematics, unlocks a whole new area of maths for the unsuspecting undergraduate student. If you are interested in group theory, discrete mathematics, graph theory, combinatorics, or computer science, this subject is a good one!

Pretty fun subject. Had Sanming as my subject coordinator. Some of the theory, especially algorithms, were interesting and were applicable to real-life scenarios. Assignments and exam was fair given the online circumstances

The content is pretty interesting but the lecturer makes the subject almost unbearable

A pretty fun subject as it was always intellectually stimulating working on the problems in the tutorials! The exam is literally 50% regurgitation of processes and 50% proofs. The proofs are where they will most likely separate the students. My tutor was awesome! He explained everything else really well but I have been to another tutorial class and that tutor was not great. The lecturer will write things on the board so it won't be recorded on the screen which did make it frustrating but will force you to go to the lectures. Tutorial questions were either super simple or super difficult. The exam difficulty seems to be getting harder every year and assignments are relatively straight-forward.

I really enjoyed Graph Theory! As a Pure Mathematics Student, it really helped to develop my proof-writing in a wide variety of contexts.

Quite a good subject. Be warned that although a lot of applied maths and engineering students take this subject, it as a lot of proofs, although not at the same kind of difficulty of Algebra, for example. Content wise its a bit intense, and pretty much gives a summary of some major areas of Graph Theory. Unfortunately at times the lecturer would drag on about some very simple concept, and so he'd lose more than half the class' attention, and then proceed to rush through something really complicated! Overall good subject, I just wish we didn't need to memorise so much for the exam.

This subject was really awesome. Working through the text in advance really helped me blitz the material. The subject helped a lot with training me to do better proofs and understand a lot of other material in mathematics and computer science.
