Quite a fun subject. I like how the lecture system is designed with lecture attendance being mostly for Q&A and no compulsory tutorials. Only problem with the subject is at times seems completely divergent to real world concepts and difficult to imagine a case where the concepts we learn could be applied.

One of the most interesting subjects in all of BCom (arguably). The subject extends knowledge from inter micro and makes you strip away the assumptions held in many microeconomic models and examine how your findings can vary as you impose/remove certain assumptions. Strong mathematical background recommended, though not necessary. Georgy tried to put less emphasis on algebra and calculus, and encouraged us to think logically (but still, don't underestimate the math needed). Assignments were tough as they forced you to (really really really) struggle to find the correct solutions, but you may find it rewarding once you do. Exam was insane, especially because you only have 2 hours, which is nowhere near enough for you to think through each question the way you do for assignments. But despite the cruelty of the assessments, you probably will find that you have learned more in this subject than you have the previous 2 years of micro combined.
