Wed 19 October
1pm, South Court - Speak out with free pizza
2pm, Vic State Library - Welfare Day of Action protest

The Welfare Day of Action will highlight the government attacks on student welfare and students in need. Programs like the Turnbull Government’s Prepare, Trial, Hire (PaTH) program in the 2016 budget would see young job seekers working for as little as $4 an hour, and students are now facing the introduction of cashless welfare cards. At a campus level, the University of Melbourne’s student welfare services are inadequate at best and vulnerable students are being left behind.

Student wellbeing should be a university and national priority, so it's important that the student community speaks up against attacks on student welfare.

Join us on South Court to stand up and make a difference!
