Alan Gilbert-109 [Theatre 2], The University of Melbourne

Organised by:
University Network for Investment and Trading (UNIT)

UNIT’s Back to Basics event is all about helping you make your first trade!

While many students have an interest in investing and financial markets, there’s a lot of information out there and so we understand that it’s hard to even get started.

The aim of this event is to lead you through the very basics, answering common questions like:
- How do I set up an account? What platform do I use?
- Is there a minimum amount of money I need?
- What risks are involved?
- How do I buy and sell?
- How do I know what to buy?

By the end of this presentation, you’ll have a better understanding of how stock markets work, and be well on your way to opening your own account and making your first trade!

Location: Room 109 (Theatre 2) Alan Gilbert, University of Melbourne
Date: Wednesday 21 September
Time: 3-4:30pm
