Have bailouts of European governments during the GFC been successful? What's the next step following the mixed results of bailouts in Greece and other European states? What are the implications for domestic and regional politics?

Professor Andrew Walter will be discussing this topic. Professor Walter is the Director of the Master of International Relations here at the University of Melbourne, with the Melbourne School of Government. He specialises in the political economy of international money and finance.

The event will commence at 12pm midday in Theatre A in Old Arts.

This free event is open to all students, both graduate and undergraduate, as well as staff.
