Topic: Social construction of technology in global politics with a focus on military, nuclear weapons and international movement.
Professor McCarthy is a previous Fellow in Global Politics in the Department of Government, London School of Economics, ESRC Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Sussex, and Lecturer in Security Studies in the Department of International Politics, Aberystwyth University.
His research interests are relate to:
- International Relations
- Science and Technology Studies
- Social Power
- Historical Materialism
- American Foreign Policy
These issues will be discussed within the context of the topic presented.
