Tom Whitford is currently lecturing in the Faculty of Business and Economics, and the Graduate School in Humanities and Social Science. His research and teaching areas focus on Marketing Communications, Advertising, Branding, critical responses to communications, Consumer Behaviour and Marketing Strategy.

Previously he has worked both in AdLand, as well as in the corporate industry, in digital and social media marketing. His interests and hobbies include jigsaws and corkboards, wearing hats, rain on a tin roof, as well as modest personal biographies!
