16 March, 2017
Law Students Society
Feeling a little lost? Drowning in information? Working hard, but inefficiently? Struggling to balance your extra curricular, homework, social life and sleep? Forgotten what sleep is?!?!?!??!?! This lunchtime seminar is definitely for you!
The Law Student Society Education Portfolio are running a new initiative for first years students with a series of student run seminars. Now that you’ve made it through the first hectic month of law life - but before the week 4 craziness of Student Tutorial Service begins – come along to our study skill session on Thursday 16 March!
You’ve been droned at enough by your lecturers, it’s time to hear some real life advice from current students on how to practically tackle the challenges of law school. Hear from second and third year students who have battled their way through trial and error to found what best works for them. No journey is the same, however by sharing some tips and tricks we hope to ease your pathway.
ON THE AGENDA:
1. NOTE TAKING – WORK SMARTER, NOT HARDER
Second year student / general kween Ayu takes you through some handy organisational tips.
2. WORK / LIFE BALANCE
Second year student (and part time rock star!) Sam speaks about his experience in balancing a hectic working and social life, touring the country, and dealing with the demands of law school.
3. REVISION, ASSESSMENT AND EXAM PREPARATION
Third year student Alice shares her personal tips and tricks relating to preparing for assessments. Learn what to do (and even what not to do!)
Feel free to ask questions and share your own insights. The aim of this session is to be light hearted, informal and conversational with a focus on organisation and life admin. Leave any built up stress and bad vibes at the door ☺
