Racism, sexism, homophobia, environmental destruction, poverty, war - all of these things affect health. So how might healthcare workers and health advocates best tackle them?

Join us for a weekend workshop on how to make social and political change to protect public health.

Program:

Sat AM: Intro to politics, power and health, and how to make social change
Sat PM: Community organising and campaign strategy
Sun all day: Open space sessions: deeper dives into topics of your choice

Health in Action is FREE. We'll be providing morning tea and afternoon tea on both days. If you would like to make a donation of $5-10 each day to help cover the cost of this that would be great but no stress either way. There are also great cafés nearby for lunch: Super Eight on the ground floor of Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (cnr Grattan St and Royal Pde) and Barretto's on the ground floor of the Alan Gilbert Building (Barretto's open Saturday only).
