Whether you’re a first year wondering what a moot is or an experienced mooter looking to compete again the Mooting Information Session is for you.

The session will provide general information about the mooting opportunities available in 2017, with a focus on the King & Wood Mallesons Mooting Competition and the First Year Mooting Competition. We’ve lined up an amazing moot for you with some of Melbourne Law School’s finest, featuring Luke Chircop (member of the 2014 First Year winning team and finalist in the Jessup, ALSA and Castan Moots), Rosie Cham (a semi finalist in both the Castan Moot and IHL Moot) and Rachel Walters (member of last year’s Jessup team reaching the quarter finals)! We hope that this will give you all a feel of what mooting is all about.

We also have a panel lined up with Harry Hill-Smith and Tim Higgins who were the winners of the 2016 Mooting Competition and the 2015 First Year Competition. Harry is also a member of this years Jessup Team.

Don’t worry if you have no idea what mooting is or haven’t done much public speaking – our upcoming Mooting Skills Session will get you up to speed!

Make sure you don’t miss your chance to participate in the 2017 mooting competitions. Come to G08 from 1pm-2pm on Tuesday 28 February and find out how you can get involved!
