Honorary French Consulate

Organised by:
International Relations Society (MELBIRS)

The Melbourne International Relations Society has kindly been invited to visit the Honorary French Consulate in Melbourne. We'll be sending a small delegation on Wednesday 8 March at 10am to visit and hear from a variety of speakers.

On arrival, consulate staff will give members a short tour, and explain the workings of the consulate. There will be an opportunity to meet and speak with Madame Myriam Boisbouvier-Wylie, the French Consul-General in Melbourne. At the end, there may be an opportunity for a short Q&A.

After the conclusion of the visit, we'll head back into the city for a chic French networking brunch at the yummy La Petite Crêperie on Hardware Lane! All MIRS members are invited to attend the brunch from about 11:15am, even if you have not secured a ticket for the consulate visit.

This is a fantastic opportunity to see the inner workings of a consulate, to network with staff and other students and to ask questions about French-Australian relations, including queries about the upcoming French Presidential Election.

There is VERY high demand for our consulate visits. Previously our consulate visits have sold out in a matter of minutes. Tickets for this event are ONLY available to paid MIRS members and cost $10. The link will be posted at 1pm Friday 3 March on this page. We expect tickets to sell out very fast so please be ready at this time to avoid disappointment.

MIRS is very excited to share this first visit to the French Consulate with you and hope you can join us!
